What is a belly cast?

A pregnancy belly cast or belly mold is made from plaster strips into a cast. The cast covers the expecting mom's beautiful pregnant form. This can include the mothers hands and even the father's and younger children's hands. Many parents hang them on their children's walls for decoration. As one mom aptly put it, "I didn't really know how big I was till I saw myself in a cast and then we all enjoyed a good laugh when I put the cast on my husbands belly and let him see my "lack of view" ,of my feet, from then he tied my shoes for me!"
